Personality is stable across time and still changes in predictable ways.
- Ex: Most people become more responsible between twenty and thirty, but the ones who started out most responsible usually stay near the top of the group.
- Ex: A man who has been quick-tempered his whole life loses his temper less often after years of therapy, but still loses it more often than his brother does.
