Working memory
The memory system that holds and works on a small amount of information for the few seconds it is in use.
- Ex: Holding a phone number in mind while you find your phone.
- Ex: Keeping the first half of a long sentence in mind while reading the second half.
- Ex: Doing 17 times 6 in your head.
