Lateralization

The principle that the two hemispheres of the brain differ in function, with each one controlling the opposite side of the body.

• Ex: Your right hand is controlled by the left side of your brain.
• Ex: A split-brain patient can pick up an object with the left hand while insisting they do not know what it is.
